The EZ Gateway Modbus to BACnet (FS-EZX-MOD-BAC) is a high-performance, user-friendly gateway for the building and industrial automation protocols that enables integrators to connect Modbus devices, such as power meters, flow meters, and other Modbus-based controllers, to BACnet networks in industrial buildings, campuses, and commercial buildings. The EZ Gateway can connect different types of Modbus to BACnet, including Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP/IP, BACnet/IP, and BACnet MS/TP, and it can handle up to 1000 data points.

The EZ Gateway quickly and simply meets the Modbus to BACnet integration requirements of a system integrator. With the EZ Gateway, the integrator or contractor can connect any Modbus device to a BACnet system using either BACnet protocol without having to be a protocol expert.

Unparalleled Performance

Two RS-485 ports on the EZ Gateway Modbus to BACnet enable connection for fewer devices per port, improving response time. Up to 64 Modbus RTU devices can be connected to the EZ Gateway using just two RS-485 ports, eliminating the need for repeaters on the RS-485 network. Our dual-port EZ Gateway can lower device connectivity costs or double the speed of connected devices compared to single-port gateways.

The EZ Gateway supports 100 Ethernet connections to Modbus TCP/IP devices. Additionally, in scenarios where the Modbus field devices also support concurrent polling, support for Modbus TCP/IP Concurrent Polling on our EZ Gateway enables quicker response times and more devices per segment.
